How to open and continue a course

Once you have enrolled on a course, you can open it and begin working through the lessons.

Opening your course

Log in to your Citizens Academy account and go to your Learner Hub or course library.

Find the course you want to study and select it.

This will open the course area, where you can see the lessons or modules available to you.

Moving through the course

Courses are usually organised into sections, modules or lessons.

You may see different types of learning activities, such as:

• Text to read

• Videos to watch

• Downloads to open

• Quizzes or questions

• Tasks to complete

• Discussion or reflection activities

Select the first lesson to begin.

Continuing where you left off

If you leave the course and return later simply click "Resume course".

Your progress may be saved, so you can carry on from where you stopped.

Completing lessons

Some lessons may have a button that allows you to mark the lesson as complete.

This helps you keep track of what you have already done.

If you are unsure whether a lesson is finished, check whether there is a tick, progress bar or completion message.

Learning at your own pace

You do not have to rush. You can pause, rewatch videos, reread information and return to lessons when needed.

Key message

To continue a course, log in, go to your Learner Hub, open the course and select the next lesson.
