How to access the Community

Some Citizens Academy courses may include access to a community area. The community is a space where learners can connect, ask questions, share ideas and take part in discussions.

Finding the community

After logging in, look for the menu option Community.

Your community space may also be linked from inside your course.

If you cannot see a community, it may mean that your course does not include one, or that you have not yet been given access.

The CA community

The CA Community exists for all academy members and consists of the following:

1. Feed: Read recent posts from fellow citizens.

2. Announcements: Read posts from Citizens Academy

3. Welcome & Connect: Introduce yourself, welcome new members, and connect with others in the community.

4. Ask a question!: Raise questions about accessing your courses, using features, or anything else that will help you navigate your learning experience.

5. Course spaces: Private spaces relating to specific courses.

The Called Out community

The Called Out Community exists for academy members who have enrolled onto the Called Out Bible Reading Program and consists of the following:

1. Feed: Read recent posts from fellow citizens.

2. General: For sharing anything.

3. Announcements: Read important announcements for the Called Out Community.

4. Called Out Roundtable: Private space for Called Out Community Facilitators.

5. Ask a question: Raise questions about accessing your courses, using features, or anything else that will help you navigate your learning experience.

6. Called Out Groups: These are private spaces for members who are collaborating within the weekly Called Out Groups.

Community Guidelines

Let’s create a Christ-centered space—full of truth, love, and grace. Please read and honor these:

1. Speak Life

Use uplifting, respectful words. No profanity or insults.

Colossians 4:6, Ephesians 4:29

2. Stay on Mission

Share reflections, questions, and encouragement related to our Bible reading. Keep Christ central.

3. No Promotions

Don’t promote outside businesses, events, or ministries. Stay focused.

Philippians 2:3

4. Respect Privacy

What’s shared here stays here. Don’t repost without permission.

1 Corinthians 13:7

5. Guard Personal Data

Don’t request or post private info. Admins won’t ask for sensitive data publicly. Matthew 10:16

6. Be Considerate

Avoid spamming, long voice notes, or off-topic posts. Share thoughtfully.

7. Be Kind, Always

Disagree with grace. No debates or call-outs—message admins privately.

8. Three-Strike Policy

We lead with grace but value peace:

Strike 1: Gentle reminder from facilitator

Strike 2: Firm warning + mute

Strike 3: Removal by admin

Taking part successfully

The community works best when everyone feels welcome and respected.

Please remember to:

• Be polite and supportive

• Respect other people’s views

• Avoid sharing private personal information

• Keep discussions relevant to the course or topic

• Ask for help if you are unsure

Asking questions

If you have a question, check whether someone has already asked something similar.

If not, you can start a new post or reply in the relevant discussion area.

Try to make your question clear so others can understand what help you need.

Key message

The community is a shared learning space. Use it to ask questions, join discussions and feel part of Citizens Academy.
